Big problems

Bought 2.5 years ago. Three months ago had a refrigerant leak. Still under warranty so should be no problem right? Contacted warranty folks and sent out repair company to work on it. Three months and seven visits later they are still ordering parts and now my refrigerator is at 62 degrees. Three months where I have had hundreds of dollars of food go bad and spent hundreds more to eat out because nothing stays cold. Can any of you go three months without a properly working refrigerator? Someone needs to just say it is unrepairable and buy me out or replace it. This is rediculous.

LG is a worldwide brand with great products but unfortunately the French-door refrigerator has a BASIG SHAMEFUL PROBLEM. The water filter needs a technician to be replaced. This is the second filter replacement since we bought this unit and it is the second time that we had to call an LG technician to do something that was supposed to be so simple changing a water filter and worse we have to pay the technician to do it pay for a problem that is not ours. Ive spoken to other LG French-door refrigerator and they have the same problem. A simple water filter replacement. How did the designers engineers quality control missed this simple item. One of the only things that a owner needs to do changing a filter and it cannot be done easily. SUCH A SHAME LG. Are we going to have to call your technician every time that the water filet needs to be replaced??? Besides paying for the filter we will always have to pay for it to be replaced? Do you really need to make money this way?

Sleek and modern looking

We love the look and features of our refrigerator the counter depth size is perfect for our kitchen too. The only thing we are having trouble with is the water filter. We are unable to keep the filters from popping out and spilling water inside. All online reviews state the same issue. I am going to have to have to have a service man replace it or see if the internal mechanism is damaged.

So far Ive really liked this frig notice I didnt say love. Ive had a little difficulty handling the freezer on the lower level. Things are hard to find and Im used to being able to see the freezer side at eye level Ive always had the side to side doors. I also miss being able to measure the water Im getting out of the water spigot. My last one enable you to measure how much water you were getting. Small detail I know but I miss these little things. Boo hoo.

Not what I expected from LG

We purchased this to replace our stadard depth LG refrigerator that is almost 15 years old and still running. After only 2 years the panel that controls everything on the front door started to change settings randomly on its own. Constantly binging and different lights flashing. It would happen all hours of the day and the only way to make it stop is to unplug it. After a couple of weeks this would start all over again. Its a shame because we do like it but I dont feel that we should need to get it repaired after only 2 years. Of course its out of warranty.

Dead on arrival

Got new LG to replace 2 yr old version that was not working despite replacing all of its parts. New fridge with broken ice maker requiring complete replacement as well. Very disappointed since still Have not gotten reimbursed for first dud from LG.

Noisy but fixable if under warranty

Its a nice fridge but Im glad we had a two-year warranty. My in-laws had an LG and also experienced many issues with it being very noisy after a while. It took several times to fix the issue too so make sure you have a good warranty and extend it if needed because the fix will likely be expensive. Outside of the constant noise issue it is a nice fridge just not the best quality to last.
