For this Compressor bad issue I was going through multiple agency to get it repaired and they were giving me attitude and waste my lot of time for more then 7-days and i was not reaching anywhere even close to get a time line to get it fixed but with LG support I called them and with in less than 12 hrs it was fixed completely without paying a single penny from my pocket. All original parts installed. Best buy Geek Squad response was very bad. they spent 7 days and after 7 days giving me estimate of big amount and 10 days waiting.

I wouldnt give this fridge to an enemy. Fridge itself was great but the compressor is a known issue that LG continues to put in their equipment. It took nearly a month and fifteen calls to get them to honor their warranty. Get used to being told that somebody will call you back in 24 48 or 72 hours and not being contacted. If you enjoy roulette buy this fridge... just put all of your sales paperwork in a safe place.

Love the product but disappointed that fans had to be replaced. Purchased in 2016 so 7 years old is not that old. It seems that ice builds up and destroyed the fans causing them to be very loud. I expect better from LG as i have a dryer and TV.

LG French Refrig

Two years after I bought it the compressor failed and took out most of the rest of the coolant system. Took a couple days to get it repaired where a larger portion of my food had to be thrown out. LG did pay for this repair. Three years later the compressor failed again. I called LG and they gave me a local repair company. This repair company came over quickly and replaced the compressor. Now I am having problems with LG to get some kind of reimbursement from them. They keep telling me that the receipt from the company they referred me to is invalid. Been three weeks so far still trying to get it done.

My garage LG fridge was still under manufacture warranty LG did not hesitate to inform me about that which saved me a ton on parts. Jeremy came out to repair the fridge changed out everything he was able to change to make sure the fridge would work correctly which it did we exchanged a few text messages days later and he respectfully answered all my questions and addressed my concerns was going to come back out if needed but he didnt need to because he did an excellent job right from the beginning.

We bought our refrigerator in 2016. Compressor failed in 2018 got a new one. Another failure in 2022. Now the whole system was replaced. The only original part is the shell. Stay away.

I bought this refrigerator in May of 2019. Recently the compressor suddenly stopped working and spoiled a bunch of food. A repairman ordered and installed a new compressor last week. Evidently the compressor quit working again since our food was spoiled after returning from a weekend trip. We have lost over $600 in food in addition to the inconvenience of have no working refrigerator. We are expecting another service call tomorrow. Obviously not impressed with this refrigerator.

Weve had it for 6 years. We like the design with the double doors and extra door in the door as well as the drawers in the freezer. The features are great the quality is substandard.Problems weve had: the finish has worn off in spots looks cheaply done the plastic plate for the water/ice dispenser is discolored and looks terrible the light for the beverage door went out the ice maker leaks into the fridge and we are currently waiting for a new compressor which went out two weeks ago.

I bought this refrigerator and it broke down just before the holidays. LG was not helpful in getting it fixed. Best But finally made good and we got a brand new fridge just after the new year. Fast forward 5 years. Here I am again at the holidays without a fridge. LG once again left me in my own to find someone to repair. A couple hundred dollars in lost food and no fridge for the holidays. NOT HAPPY WITH LG. Will not buy their products again.

My ice maker stopped making ice then two days later the freezer was thawing. I called Geek Squad for the repair gave them the error code for the bad compressor and scheduled it for the next weekend since that was the soonest I could be home. They called 1 hr before arrival saying they dont replace compressors. Frustrated I called LG. They tried a couple things over he phone that didnt work. I had to wait till the following weekend for the service since I work. Once the service tech arrived it was repaired quickly and works perfectly again. No fridge for 3 weeks was not necessary call LG first

You asked for honesty so here it is. We have a household of lg products. Since purchasing the refrigerator we have had to replace 2 compressors. A few days ago the electric panel and the ice and water stopped working. Waiting until next year to fix this issue. Getting to be quite expensive with repairs. Maybe LG should just send us a new one. As a long time appliance owner This is the only product Ive owned that has had to have several repairs. Just picked up a bag of ice for Christmas Day.

I am not happy with this refrigerator. I bought 5 years ago and got repaired three times but still not working. This refrigerator broke again. Now the compressor is bad and want 700 to repair it this does not include the covered compressor part. The repair guy said this linear compressor is known to do this and lg does not stand behind there refrigerators My friends fridge is now 8 years old with no problems

Weve had the fridge for about 3.5 years and have enjoyed it very much. The outside door that allows for quick grab without opening the full fridge is great....and the drawer we use for cold cuts is great. The freezer has several drawers which helps with organization. The one thing that is difficult to change is the little odor filter in the back of the fridge. Its so deep its hard to reach. Ive opted for a box of baking soda over the more expensive filters.

Horrible In six years has complete failed twice

Purchased and installed in August2016. Less than three years the compressor completely failed. Now less than three years it has failed again. Getting someone to fix it is almost impossible.

Cost me over 1500.00 for repairs. Then another repair would have cost 1800. So junked this expensive refrigerator that was only 5 years old. When you produce such a lemon you should stand behind your product.

Weve loved it but its just too unreliable

Weve had this refrigerator for 6 years now. I want to love it. We love the layout the brightly lit interior the no fingerprint stainless all the room it has. However just over one year after getting it it started dinging an error the compressor had stopped working and it wasnt keeping temperature. Called LG they promptly sent a repairman who replaced it and we hoped to be all good. Three years later same thing compressor number two lost contents of the refrigerator number two. Now here we are two years later and this time no warning of dings. We just started having our milk spoil a week before its expiration date and the ice make stopped working. Repairman comes and says the compressor is once again not working. Also the black stainless is now peeling off on the edges. LG has stated that they are going to replace the doors because of this. I give LG 5 stars for standing behind their product and covering this stuff at no cost to us. However weve lost the contents of our refrigerator 3 times now in 6 years. Im not sure if this is systemic with this model or if we just got a lemon but now Im considering just replacing it as Im tired of having spoiled food and having no refrigerator for a couple of weeks awaiting its repair.

When purchased looked like a solid unit

Purchased item 4 years ago. The fridge quit cooling due to the fact the compressor went out. The compressor has a 10 year warranty and LG will not cover the warranty expense. I will not purchase another LG product and I think people should be made aware of LG lack of service.

I bought this fridge and it has malfunction on me every year. The compressor has been replaced in December 2021 and already the fridge doesnt keep the food cold. Was told has a system leak. They put freon in it but its going to do it again. Wish I never bought it. Its been recalled needs to be replaced. Customer service has been awful too. Was told upper management would call to help with this situation with 24-48 hours and no response. Very disappointed.

I fell in love with the LG the first day I saw it. So right a way I worked on how I was going to buy it. I figured out a way and I have enjoyed it ever since. It fit all the categories I was needing. Lots of room for your wine your cold drinks A large freezer and the small door where you could storage with items that you use all the time and would not have to open the large refrigerator door. I definitely like the ice maker you have a choice of cubes or crush ice my favorite feature Shelfs that you can adjust for tall items and have enough room for other items. . Ive had it since 2016

I bought this fridge several years ago. Loved the features. Bought the extended warranty even though I assumed LG made quality products. Thank goodness that I did. The icemaker had issues from the very beginning. Took several follow-up visits to get it working properly. The warranty has now run out and now the whole computer system that runs the water and icemaker is out. The cost to fix it is over $1000. Will never buy an LG product ever again.

cooling problem

I have this refrigerator for over 5 years. It has a great design the only thing it missing is cooling. It lost cooing several times. Water is barely dripping. The technician was trying to fix it 3 times. Compressor was replace 2x . For over a month I have no use for the refrigerator.

The product I had was 6 years old and started hovering at 45 degrees. After 3 trips from a technician it was still not holding a safe temp. Had to junk it and replace it after 3 weeks with no fridge.
